প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিরা বলছেন, পর্যটকের সেবার মানে কোনো আপস নেই মালদ্বীপে। হোটেল-রেস্টুরেস্টে খাবার জীবাণুমুক্ত হওয়া বাধ্যতামূলক। সরকারি খাবার পরিদর্শকেরা সবকিছু তদারক করেন। মেয়াদহীন কিংবা খারাপ কিছু পেলে প্রথমে তারা সতর্ক করেন। কোনো উন্নতি না হলে ব্যবসা বন্ধ করে আদালতে মামলা দেন সরকারি সংস্থাগুলো।
