Maldives has been named the best tourism destination for the fourth time in a row

The incredibly beautiful blue water country Maldives has won the title of the world's best tourism destination for the fourth time in a row. A total of 17 countries participated in this competition organized by the World Travel Awards (WTA).

Last (Saturday, December 2), local media reported that the Maldives was declared the world's best destination for the tourism industry at a ceremony held at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai.

The beauty of Maldives fascinates people from all over the world. WTA presents the award calling the country the 'Oscars' of tourism.

In addition to WTA's Global Tourism Resilience Award, Maldives was also recognized as the most popular tourism board in the world by the country's Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). This is the second year in a row that this Maldivian company has received this award.
